In addition to donating directly online, many of our donors have remembered the Damon Runyon Cancer Research Foundation in their long-term financial plans. These gifts provide important support to the Foundation and can provide tax savings for you. After you have provided for your loved ones, please consider leaving this meaningful legacy in support of cancer research.
Bequests
The easiest way to donate to the Damon Runyon Cancer Research Foundation in the future is by including the Foundation in your will. There are a number of options, such as designating a specific dollar amount or giving a percentage of the remainder of your estate. Bequests in the form of property or other assets are also welcome. See sample language to give to your attorney here.
Retirement Plans
You can also name the Foundation as a beneficiary of your IRA, 401(k), Keogh, 403(b), TIAA/CREF or other retirement plan; or of a life insurance policy that is no longer needed. All you need to do is designate the Damon Runyon Cancer Research Foundation as a beneficiary on the appropriate plan form.
Donor Advised Funds (DAF)
You can maximize the tax benefits of philanthropic giving by adding Damon Runyon to your DAF portfolio.
