Project title
"Biomolecular condensates in normal and diseased gene regulation"

Dr. Sabari is interested in how molecules are organized within the cell’s nucleus to structure and functionalize the genome. He is combining biochemical, genomic, and microscopy techniques to explore how large collections of molecules organize themselves at specific genomic loci in healthy and diseased cell states. Exploration into these phenomena promises to reveal previously unappreciated regulatory mechanisms with potential to uncover new fundamental principles of gene regulation, novel mechanisms of disease etiology, and potential avenues for therapeutic intervention.
